**I wanted to add a side note to this podcast episode audio/video: This video is to RAISE AWARENESS. Our girls “intuitively” didn’t want to eat certain foods and we honored them and did not force them to eat anything they didn’t want to eat ever. We are not against anything, we are FOR people choosing what they prefer, while educating them of details they are unaware of. Sometimes children do not eat their meals and are punished for “misbehavior”. I believe everyone deserves to know what they are eating and then they can make a conscious choice of what they want. For the record, when I mention the documentaries and films that we watched, our girls have NOT seen these. My husband and I watched these movies and have guided our family because of what we have learned. Sometimes we are very unaware of what ingredients are named and what is in our food. Especially if we do not prepare our food ourselves. I’d also like to note that kids are also subjected to personification of cute little sweet animals in their books, movies, and tv shows and our girls were especially sensitive to “eating” their favorite characters. Children are highly intuitive, so I am also a big supporter of communication and talking to our children on a level that is age appropriate while letting them know about their options.
